Can Republicans and Democrats in the U.S.
ever come together? How?
Like attracts like. Dislike attracts dislike. Like repels dislike. Think
of two opposite poles. There you have it, power in the Democrats’ hands.
Power in the Republicans’ hands. They work four years, in most cases, to
oust each other. In the interim period, they joust, attack, and mire and
smear the other’s efforts and records. How does this serve the people
who elected them? It’s like kicking up a dirt storm and getting everyone
and everything dirty. What purpose does this serve, other then boosting
egos, poll numbers, profit margins of the power centers and moguls, and
the personal centers of power and greed inside the circle of
politicians.
To come together would mean abandoning the meanness, hatred,
mud-slinging, and incongruent attitudes that define campaigns.
The Democrat and Republican parties, at the core, are good. The founding
principles of each are real. It is simply the messengers of “truth,” or
so they call themselves, who are dragging both parties down. Both
parties have their own special interests which do not equate with the
people’s interests.
People are people are people, wherever you go. They want to take care of
their own basic needs, as well as the needs of their family. Obviously,
power and greed is the focus of many who are in politics. And their
needs extend way beyond the basic.
So how do Republicans and Democrats come together, work together, and
unite together for the common goal of one United States? By
acknowledging that these states are divided, and need to be reunited.
What the founding fathers (and mothers) did was unite a country divided
by war. Since the Revolutionary War, there have been countless
wars—Civil, equal rights, civil rights, students’ rights to protest,
class, cultural, religious (just look at your current Christian/Muslim
issues), and political. That’s a lot of wars.
But instead of focusing on war, look at the raw (war spelled backwards)
truth. This happened in the “United States.” Words alone convey no
meaning. It is the people who utter these words and apply an action to
them who provide a distinct meaning.
The words, Republican and Democrat, have a distinct meaning to you. If
you and everyone else use these words to polarize and differentiate
others, then you will never be united. You will continue to live in a
disunited state with the other 300-million-plus people to “share” the
“Disunited States.” How about a change? Get rid of the parties’ names
and work together for the United States. (Euclisites) [Top]

Could cold fusion
solve our energy problems?
Can the greatest minds solve the most basic problems on earth? The
problem is not the energy you use as much as it is the amount you use.
Sure, one could argue that cold fusion would give the earth’s population
an unlimited amount of free energy. But the problem would be how you as
a populace would use it.
Likely, one company would own the rights to use, disperse, and
distribute it as it saw fit. You can generate all the energy in the
world and most people will find a way to use more, not less. It’s the
law of attraction.
Cold fusion is a process that requires a lot of energy. It is not free
and without danger. In the hands of a megalomaniac, it would be a weapon
of total destruction. And then it becomes a weapon of mass production
and a race to “arm up.”
So you see, the energy problems you speak of are those that have
solutions. And the solutions lie within each and every one of you, not
outside of you in a high-tech world or physics laboratory. Be the
change, be the solution. (Asmuth) [Top]

What happens to
the souls of suicide bombers?
If you take your own life, you are simply abandoning your own soul. You
have no use for yourself, so you “sacrifice for the cause” and take the
lives of others. How can one’s soul, that is one with the creator, take
the life of oneself or another? This is the question these souls must
ask when reviewing their own life. And some souls simply refuse to do
this and are simply destined to remain in limbo.
Those souls who realize the obvious rejection of self through the
mutilation and destruction of one’s body, as well as many others’
bodies, must go through a long period of self-reflection on the other
side. There are no free rides to the other side. You can’t circumvent
the life review process. Everyone must go through this and learn.
If you learn what pain you have caused, and accept unconditional love,
then you can move to the higher realms. If you don’t, then you will
create a miserable place filled with self-loathing.
May you, who reads this, never have to consider this alternative. Live
your life in peace, and peace you shall have. (Asmuth)

Will we ever get
out of Iraq?
When one realizes that the battle that has been fought over this
promised land has lasted for thousands of years, it is hard to predict
the ending. When you refer to “we,” that means the collective whole? Or
just a specific group of war-profiting individuals? If you are profiting
from the war, then the goal and mantra is “Never get out of Iraq”?
Iraq is essentially the land of all the world’s ancestors. It contains a
piece of land known as the Cradle of Civilization. It’s where life on
earth started for the world’s population of all living things.
The better question to ask is, “Why do you seek to destroy the Cradle of
Civilization?” Do you believe you or anyone else has the right to own
it? Remember, Iraq, just like every other country, is a country with
defined land boundaries. Those boundaries can expand or contract based
on the rulers. Was it not so long ago that Iraq was an enemy of the
United States, and now it is an ally. Was this by design or by war, or
was the war part of the design? It really makes no matter.
If Iraq ceased to be of financial value or gain tomorrow, would you get
out of Iraq? Probably not. And the reason being that you need an ally or
two in the Middle East to keep the “peace.”
Peace, war ... war, peace—an indefinite cycle for many, but only through
their choices. If you get out of Iraq, and stay out, then you will never
again have to ask, “Will we ever get out of Iraq?” It’s that simple.
It’s your choice as part of the collective “we.” Do we understand? (Shamani) [Top]
